SHIPYARD RIGGER/OUTSIDE MACHINIST
Thames Shipyard and Repair is looking for a reliable, hard working shipyard rigger/outside machinist to work at one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston.  Willing to train the right person.  Medical and Dental benefits available, 2 weeks vacation, 401K, FULL TIME position.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
  • Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
  • Overtime available Monday-Saturday
  • Double time available Sunday
Responsibilities:
  • Removing Shafts, Rudders and Bearings
  • Working from scissor and boom lifts
  • Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen inch hatch
  • Climbing ladders
  • Heavy lifting
Requirements
  • Pre-employment drug test
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Willing and able to work outside year round and in all weather conditions
