Nemco Food Equipment is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of parts and 

equipment to all operations using experienced Shipping Clerks who can operate a variety of tools and 

resources. In this job, you will work in a fast-paced production environment, using forklifts, pallet jacks, 

carts, and inventory software. After an initial training period, productivity, and quality requirements 

must be met. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for storage, handling, shipping materials and finished products to and from customers or Nemco’s facilities. 
  • Controls incoming and outgoing product and non-product materials from the warehouse. 
  • exportation, physical inventories, manual and systems controls, verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments. 
  • Prepares items for shipment - compares identifying information, against bill of lading, invoices. orders, or other records. 
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing shipping schedules, shipment request, shipping procedures, and routes. 
  • Examines and audits outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. 
  • Operates shrink-wrap machines, forklift trucks, or uses hand truck dollies to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving areas or platform to storage or work area. 
  • Makes reports and keeps records on file. 
  • Experience with computers. 

Work Schedule: 

  • Monday - Friday (7:00am - 3:30pm)
  • Occasional overtime is required
Requirements:

 Qualifications:

  • Ability to set up and operate material handling equipment. 
  • Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs. 
  • Pass a forklift-driving test (Nemco certification). 
  • Ability to keep workspace clean and organized. 
  • Experience as a Shipping Clerk in a production environment preferred.
