Position Title: ย Shipping Clerk ย 

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Shipping Supervisor


General Summary: ย This full-time position is for Shipping Clerk at our Ohio facility. Shipping Clerks are able to perform efficiently in a warehouse and dispatch environment by outgoing deliveries. Your main responsibility is preparing, packaging, and shipping finished goods, warranty orders, and no charge product. Ensure that you are efficient, safe, and all packages adhere to DECKED's shipping standard.ย 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Obtain and process product orders
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for pickup
  • Coordinate with Dealer Services to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs
  • Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality, and national standards of shipping best-practices.
  • Clean and catalog items on a regular basis
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Place finished goods in the appropriate area of the warehouse
  • Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage
  • Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy.
  • Lifting, bending, and standing
  • Able to lift 75lbs
  • Comply to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures.ย 
  • Perform other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • LTL, Full Truck, and parcel shipping knowledge
  • Forklift Driving experience
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and training opportunities that support job responsibilities.
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift 75lbs frequently
  • Previous warehouse experience, such as knowledge in packaging and shipping standards.
  • Experience using a pallet jack
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Work history that demonstrates a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard
