We're seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead our Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Packaging departments. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring materials move safely, efficiently, and accurately throughout our operation while supporting production schedules and meeting customer delivery commitments.

What You'll Do

As the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our logistics and warehouse functions while leading a team responsible for shipping, receiving, packaging, and company transportation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and supervise the Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Packaging departments.
  • Schedule daily workloads based on production priorities and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Inspection, and Customer Service to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, packaging quality, and inventory movement.
  • Manage company truck routes and coordinate daily transportation activities.
  • Maintain driver qualification files, DOT documentation, vehicle inspections, mileage records, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
  • Oversee QR code scanning and inventory tracking processes.
  • Troubleshoot shipping and warehouse issues while implementing process improvements.
  • Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, scheduling, and time-off approvals.
  • Recommend improvements to workflows, equipment, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Order packaging materials, shipping supplies, and fleet-related items as needed.
  • Participate in production meetings and collaborate with department leaders to meet business objectives.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience using HR CheckWriter Payroll software.
  • Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and other shipping software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing inventory, shipping documentation, and transportation logistics.
  • Ability to lead by example while motivating and developing employees.
