Job description

Job Description: Job Title: Packing, Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Reports To: Quality Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Shipping and Receiving
Summary: Responsible for preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Prepares items for shipment according to shipping orders.
2. Compares identifying information such as count, weight or description of outgoing shipments against shipping orders or other records.
3. Assembles shipping containers and inserts items into containers using appropriate filler. Stamps, stencils or marks identifying information and shipping instructions onto containers.
4. Posts weights, shipping charges and affixes postage.
5. Routes items and stock to appropriate destination as requested.
6. Maintains shipping and receiving documentation in a neat and orderly manner.
7. Receives and records all incoming inventory distribution items and check-in items. Reports any discrepancies to management.
8. Performs part marking on all parts prior to shipments.
9. Maintains area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
10. Maintains and inventories all shipping materials.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
