Position Summary

Jahabow, a leading designer and fabricator of commercial-grade retail display cases and millwork, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our logistics and transportation operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with shipping documentation requirements.

This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient material flow and supporting customer delivery expectations through accurate handling, documentation, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping & Logistics Coordination
     
    • Assist in preparing accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs)
    • Schedule carriers and coordinate shipments
    • Work with third-party logistics providers for routed freight
    • Provide domestic and international freight quotes
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping documentation (BOLs, commercial invoices, NAFTA, pricing lists)
  • Receiving & Inventory Control
     
    • Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders
    • Maintain accurate inventory counts and records upon receipt
    • Report discrepancies and work with Quality Control and material handlers as needed
  • Material Handling
     
    • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
    • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to stage and move product
    • Organize materials within warehouse according to company standards
  • Administrative & Reporting
     
    • Enter and maintain data within MRP system
    • Generate and run reports in Excel as needed
    • Maintain organized shipment and inventory records
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
  • Or equivalent combination of training and experience
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to navigate MRP/ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Safe operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment
Physical & Work Environment
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
  • Frequent standing, walking, and use of warehouse equipment
  • Work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
