Now Hiring: Shipping & Receiving Material Handler- Day Shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm (40 hrs/week; hours may vary)
Location: On-site role
What You'll Do
The Shipping/Receiving Material Handler will be responsible for the safe, smooth, and efficient flow of material and supplies through the building, shipping and receiving materials from vendors and to customers, and assist with the paperwork necessary for shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Will assist and take direction from the Cutting/Warehouse Specialist to ensure all areas of responsibility run efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist in the daily activities of the department including all Shipping/Receiving and Warehousing functions.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipment
  • Load and unload outgoing and incoming truck shipments
  • Receive incoming freight
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse inventory
  • Manage material movements
  • Assist with 10% inventory counts
  • Provide flexibility for shift coverage and overtime
  • Assist in the operation of automated, computerized cutting machine for industrial fabrics
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ year of experience in Manufacturing or Shipping/Receiving
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Basic knowledge of measurements (Knowledge of the metric system a plus!)
  • Forklift/Hand truck experience
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Familiarity with computer use
