Staff Management | SMX is now hiring Shipping Warehouse Associates for our premier client on the East Side of Indianapolis! Join our crew where we help manufacture industry leading security products. We are in search of associates for both morning and evening shift schedules. Enjoy earning $18.00 - $18.50/hr, paid time off, and up to 10 paid holidays a year! All openings have the opportunity for full time permanent hire!
Shifts:
  • 1st Shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Thursday with Occasional Overtime on Friday and Saturday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:45pm - 2:15am, Monday-Thursday with Occasional Overtime on Friday and Saturday

Job Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
  • Maintains a good attendance record.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8 - 10 hours.
  • Steel toed shoes required in some departments.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime.
  • Must have experience on Forklift or Order Selector
