Job description

Evergreen Enterprises is a world leader in the wholesale distribution of fine home furnishings, home & garden decor, strategic licensed/sports products and fashion accessories. We help hundreds of vendors market and sell their products to retail establishments worldwide. Currently, we are seeking experienced Order Pickers to join our warehouse team at Midlothian Turnpike.
What we offer:
  • Start as a seasonal position through end of January with possibility to convert to full-time at the end of the assignment
  • We offer bonus pay, paid vacation, 401K, health benefits insurance, employee discount and more to full-time employees
  • We offer 2 shifts: day shift (6AM-2:30PM) and evening shift (3PM-11:30PM)
  • Starting hourly pay is $10.00/hour for day shift and $11.00/hour for night shift

Job Description/Duties:
  • Order pickers:
  • Obtain pick sheet
  • Prepare cart for picking by adding correct box types and pinning ship label to each box
  • Accurately locate pick locations on pick sheet
  • Verify correct sku and quantity before placing in designated box
  • Place items in box in a neat and orderly arrangement to not damage product.
  • Communicate to warehouse leadership:
    • Any incorrect items found in a pick location
    • Pick locations with no quantity
  • Notate missing items on list for that specific box
  • Bring completed boxes to the conveyor area
  • Packers
  • Grab several boxes to fill your shipping conveyor area
  • Verify that each order has the first product listed inside the box
  • Verify or apply shipping label on the outside of the box
  • Place the leftover document in the box that lists the items for that box
  • Make sure that the products fit in the box appropriately. If the order does not fit, then rearrange it or change the box size
  • Make sure that the products are safely packed inside the box before closing. When handling glass products, make sure it has enough protection so it will not be damaged during transportation.
  • Communicate to warehouse leadership:
    • Any boxes that do not contain the first item listed
    • Any boxes that won't fit all items within the box
  • Assist in other warehouse areas when needed (eg. packing, picking, dropship, light manufacturing, and other warehouse areas)
  • Clean designated work area at the end of the shift

  • Excellent attendance
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs. on a continual basis.
  • Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
