Job description

Hours are 3pm-1am with some flexibility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Locates material for shipping in appropriate warehouse, aisle, bay, and bin.
• Packages boxes with necessary packing materials to prevent damages that may occur in transit.
• Labels all boxes of order with appropriate packing/shipping materials, ensuring every box has an orange shipping label not covering other pertinent information showing on box.
• Ensures all repacked (multiple items) boxes has a mixed items label attached.
• Physically stages all boxes of order near designated ramp of corresponding truck will be loaded.
• Loads truck with orders of like ship vias per run layout sheet (last loaded order is driver's first delivery) ensuring items are loaded without damage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to interpret sales orders, enter into the scan gun the correct information, to pick and stage materials to be shipped.
• Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
• Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and become certified as a licensed forklift operator.
Computer Skills:
• Basic typing and computer knowledge
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear. The employee will frequently be required to stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee occasionally will be required to sit, climb ladders or steps, or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually high (loud). May be exposed to extreme heat in summer and/or cold in winter.
