Job description

Join Axon and be a Force for Good.

At Axon, weโ€™re on a mission to Protect Life. Weโ€™re explorers, pursuing societyโ€™s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.

Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, youโ€™ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

As Senior PM for Mitigation & Threat Management, you will own the C2 workflows that turn drone detections into coordinated responses. You'll partner with engineering, design, and field teams to ship the tools operators use to neutralize threats โ€” kinetic and non-kinetic โ€” at stadiums, bases, borders, and critical facilities worldwide. This is one of the highest-leverage PM seats at Dedrone, sitting at the intersection of real-time software, defense workflows, and customer mission outcomes.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Location: Onsite at our Sterling, VA office 4 days a week

Reports to: VP of Product, Dedrone

Direct Reports: N/A

  • Own the Mitigation & Threat Management product surface end-to-end: vision, roadmap, requirements, launch
  • Work closely with Software Engineering, Data Science, UX / Design, and QA teams to ship response workflows that hold up under real-world operator pressure
  • Partner with the Kinetic & Novel Defeat team on integrated response options
  • Drive customer validation through direct engagement with law enforcement, military, and critical-infrastructure operators
  • Implement AI agents to reinvent how you ship products and 10x your product teamโ€™s effectiveness
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ in defense, security, real-time operations, or comparable mission-critical domains
  • A passion for understanding customersโ€™ challenges and objectives and a proven track record shipping operator-facing products used under stress
  • The ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into well-defined product requirements and technical specifications
  • A talent for collaborating with agile software development teams to turn complex technical processes into intuitive and effective user workflows
  • The ability to combine speed of execution with an uncompromising commitment to quality
  • Strong analytical skills with experience defining and tracking product metrics to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
  • Working knowledge of counter-UAS, kinetic/non-kinetic response, ITAR, and rules-of-engagement concepts
  • US person (ITAR and U.S. security clearance eligibility required)
Benefits that Benefit You
  • Competitive salary and 401k with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • Paid parental leave for all
  • Medical, Dental, Vision plans
  • Fitness Programs
  • Emotional & Mental Wellness support
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • And yes, we have snacks in our offices

Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.

Donโ€™t meet every single requirement? That's ok. At Axon, we Aim Far. We think big with a long-term view because we want to reinvent the world to be a safer, better place. We are also committed to building diverse teams that reflect the communities we serve.

Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they check every box in the job description. If youโ€™re excited about this role and our mission to Protect Life but your experience doesnโ€™t align perfectly with every qualification listed here, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
