JOB SUMMARY - Shipping & Receiving Associate
We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to become a vital part of our TotalCare team. You will be responsible for the activities associated with receiving, cleaning, and shipping of firefighter PPE gear. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, efficient service delivery, and maintain high-quality standards. You can help save lives.
Position Details:
Location: 735 Park North Boulevard, Suite 114, Clarkston, GA 30021
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed to meet client needs.
Reports to: TotalCare Center Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receiving
  • Log firefighter gear received into our tracking system
  • Query database for customer special instructions
  • Create job and production work order
  • Unassembled garments and tag for tracking
  • Process garments received according to cleaning type
  • Receive orders from vendors and match to purchase orders

Cleaning
  • Assess dirty protective garments to determine most appropriate cleaning process
  • Perform hydrostatic pressure test on the moisture barrier of the firefighters' suits to verify it meets integrity and regulatory requirements according to established procedures.
  • Operate industrial laundry machines and perform cleaning according to pre-determined type
  • Follow established procedures for type of cleaning
  • Record cleaning and type of cleaning for each garment

Shipping
  • Prepare garments for shipment - fold, bag, and label
  • Prepare shipping document required - FedEx or Route delivery.
  • Pack cartons or prepare for delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in shipping & receiving area.
  • Other duties as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works well with other production associates.
  • Must be able to follow instructions consistently with minimum supervision.
  • Must follow company rules and regulations.
  • Ability to multi-task.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional and pleasant disposition, able to give all clients a positive customer service experience.
  • Experience working with computers including Outlook, Teams, and warehouse tracking systems.
  • Experience within a computerized warehouse, industrial laundry, and/or product maintenance environment considered a huge asset.
  • Able to lift 30 pounds comfortably.
  • Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
  • Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Standing, sitting, walking, bending as needed.
  • Using proper lifting technique may be required to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
