Job description

Summary:
Handle all outgoing shipments and incoming receivables. Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, receiving reports, parts/materials list for shipments. Use forklift to transport materials to storage areas or to production. Prepare trucks for shipping modules and be able to use the boom forklift to load modules when shipments are ready to be shipped. Maintain and monitor Inventory Control systems for raw materials and finished product.
Essential Duties:
  • Perform inventory cycle counts. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of all materials stored in the offsite warehouses.
  • Coordinate the transfer of materials or modules as required from outside warehouses to manufacturing plants.
  • Perform assigned logistics duties as required by the Manufacturing Manager to ensure all logistics functions are accomplished to maximize output and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures in all Shipping &Receiving functions.
  • Prepare and assure the accuracy of Bills of Lading and other Shipping & Receiving documents.
  • Coordinate and communicate to corporate Project Managers to insure "on-time" deliveries.
  • Assure personal compliance with all safety directives at the main production facility and all remote locations.
  • Be able to drive the box and flat bed truck. Load and unload raw materials onto and off racks by forklift at warehouse.
  • Comply with all safety directives at the main production facility and offsite warehouses.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards at the offsite warehouses.

Additional Duties:
  • Special projects as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Must have Class B CDL license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred).
  • Self-motivated / self-starter / able to work independently.
  • Goal oriented / assertive / tactful / dependable.
  • Excellent overall process knowledge and materials required for efficient production operations.
  • A valid driver's license and insurable without being high risk.

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds weight when necessary.
  • Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Work in hot and cold conditions.
  • Work in an environment with high noise levels.
