Position Summary
Under direction of the Transportation Manager, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of shipping and receiving. This includes accurate input of goods received and shipped on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Embraces the 1 T.E.A.M culture.
Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work and in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
Establish and maintain shipping procedures for incoming and outgoing orders to ensure standards of accuracy and high levels of order fulfillment.
Pick and stage material for shipping.
Support all staffing needs in shipping and receiving.
Daily communication with sales and operations management to ensure on time delivery.
Generate outbound paperwork for proper shipment.
Fill in as needed scheduling carriers for pickups.
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records.
Basic math skills, including add, subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Able to operate standard office machinery (computer, phone, fax, copy machine, etc.)
Sufficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
Able to speak, read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government regulations and shipping documents written in English.
Requires meeting strict deadlines, work with others in a group or team, coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities, work with external customers or the public
