Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in organizing and processing shipments to ensure the efficient operation of the pharmacy's logistics. This position requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to regulatory guidelines and company protocols.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Order Processing:
  • Receive, verify, and process orders for shipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Accurately pick, pack, and label packages for shipment

Packaging:
  • Ensure medications are packaged appropriately, considering temperature, stability, and packaging specifications for safe transport
  • Select and utilize correct shipping supplies as required for medication safety
  • Collaborate to maintain an organized shipping environment
  • Additional projects and responsibilities may be designated by the supervisor

Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with staff to support daily shipping operations and meet logistics goals
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and external partners to resolve shipping-related issues

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a shipper/packer or in a similar logistics or warehouse role
  • Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred
  • Available to work flexible 10-hour shifts within the timeframe of 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Sunday
  • Basic computer skills to process orders and track shipments
  • Familiarity with shipping and logistics procedures
  • Knowledge of proper handling and packaging of medications

ENVIRONMENT AND COGNITIVE / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
