Job description

Job Summary
Movement of goods within the supply chain. Storage of raw materials or finished goods within a facility. Plans and controls the flow of raw materials of finished products from start to finish. Transportation of finished products typically to consumers or resellers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Picks items on sales orders
  • Selects shipping container and proper packaging for the shipment
  • Re-checks order before packaging
  • Red lines any unavailable items to complete shipment
  • Packages order for shipment
  • Separates and distributes orders to various departments on an as needed basis
  • Operates a UPS Maxiship and Federal Express Powership computer system
  • Picks packs and weighs orders requiring delivery charges to determine shipping costs
  • Preparing international shipping documents
  • Coordinates changes to sales orders with CSG
  • Hours are 7:30-4:00PM; this is a requirement of the job. Overtime required as needed.
  • Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Makes additions and withdrawals to physical inventory
  • Can operate hand cart, pallet jack and forklift
  • Willing to cross train
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • One year minimum related experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to perform job duties using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
