Title:Shipping Associate Department:Shipping

Reports to:Shipping Manager/Lead FLSA Status:Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

As a Shipping amp; Inventory Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of orders for shipment to customers. You will work closely with other team members to meet productivity goals while maintaining high-quality standards and providing exceptional service.

Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process customer orders through the fulfillment system accurately and efficiently.

  • Prepare items for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials, carefully packing products, and affixing correct shipping labels.

  • Assist in managing inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.

  • Perform quality checks on outgoing orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging to meet customer expectations.

  • Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups, generate shipping labels, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers, carrier information, and any special handling instructions.

  • Follow all safety protocols and adhere to shipping regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable.

  • Ensure the proper functioning of shipping equipment, such as scales, label printers, and tape dispensers, and report any maintenance needs.

  • Collaborate with team members across various departments, such as order fulfillment, customer service, and warehouse, to resolve any order-related issues or customer inquiries.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
