Description

Job Summary:

Transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas as assigned to maximize production run time. Operate forklift, electrical hoist or other power driven equipment to load or move materials. Supply production with materials from inventory. Load or unload material onto or from pallets, trays or shelves. Process required paperwork. Maintain raw material inventory.

Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Deliver material to work stations in timely and continuous manner to ensure maximum production run time.
  • Unload and load trucks, verify pack slips with P.O, perform visual inspection for content and condition of shipment; refuse acceptance of material if discrepancies or damage is evident; accept and sign for material if visually OK.
  • Inspect material for shape, size, and general condition against specifications listed on copy of P.O.
  • Identify accepted material with the prepared tag, place material into inventory, or issue material to a job. Make appropriate data entry.
  • Material prep - chamfering bars or turning them down as needed so they can load properly into the machines.
  • Match packing slips with appropriate requisitions. Process receivers and forward paperwork to accounts payable clerk.
  • Spin and dump chips in both plants as necessary.
  • Operate overhead hoist.
  • Clean up and put away scrap materials and barrels. Facilitate scrap pick up and load outgoing scrap onto truck.
  • Transfer WIP from Plant 1 to HQ. Put away WIP.
  • Move finished parts to shipping.
  • Assist operators on saw as needed.
  • Assist in cleaning screw machines and CNC machines as needed.
  • Follow all required safety procedures and perform in manner that protects the health and safety of employees.
  • Update and maintain accurate raw material inventory.
  • Help in shipping as time allows. 
  • Perform skills according to skill matrix.


Requirements

Position Specifications:

  • Minimal to no experience needed.
  • Forklift experience (Pindel certification mandatory).
  • Basic math skills (metric conversions).

Physical Demands

  • Maintain visual accuracy with or without corrective lenses.

  • Sit, kneel, climb, bend at waist, and squat less than 1/3 of the work day.
  • Stand, walk, and twist at waist more than 2/3 of the work day.
  • Frequently push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Lift:
