Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: Minneapolis, MN 55413

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support warehouse and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and moving materials throughout the facility.

This position combines physical warehouse work with basic computer and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Count, verify, package, label, and prepare finished parts for shipment
  • Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, and other required documentation
  • Receive incoming materials, supplies, and customer/vendor shipments
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, paperwork, and material condition
  • Move, stage, organize, and deliver materials throughout warehouse and production areas
  • Perform inventory counts and enter transactions into ERP or inventory systems
  • Support accurate and on-time shipments according to customer requirements
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized
  • Communicate inventory, receiving, shipping, or documentation discrepancies to management
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping and warehouse areas
  • Assist with counting, sorting, packaging, labeling, and other warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn ERP and shipping systems
  • Ability to accurately count, organize, package, and label parts
  • Ability to read part numbers, work orders, packing instructions, and shipping documentation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift, pallet jack, or material-handling experience is a plus
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, package, move, and stage parts and materials
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive counting, packaging, labeling, and material-handling tasks
