About The Opportunity

Manages all warehouse activities. Manages the warehouse ensuring the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through the warehouse. Also ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
This position primarily operates during 1st shift hours; however, some flexibility may be needed to support business needs.

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory, and warehousing to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability
  • Directs and manages shipping and/or receiving orders, including loading trucks, inspecting materials or product, and reconciling advanced shipping notices and bills of materials to assure accuracy
  • Manages dock traffic and ensures that all logistics suppliers follow appropriate policies and procedures
  • Maintains month-to-month inventory of work-in-process product and finished goods
  • Manages inventory of shipping materials and supplies, including stretch film, poly bags, shrinks, glue and any consumable

  • Directs and participates in cycle counts and physical inventory processes as required
  • Coordinates with key stakeholders to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demands
  • Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels to assure production requirements are met
  • Accountable for departmental key performance metrics to ensure scorecard objectives are met
  • Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the salaried and hourly shipping and receiving team, working closely with direct reports
  • Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing

  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting
  • Frequent walking and standing required
