Job description

Warehouse Associate 
As a Warehouse Associate with Colony Hardware, you will begin the journey of bringing customer orders to life. To do this, you will utilize your willingness to produce high quality, detailed and accurate work to ensure the mission to provide excellent customer service is completed.
 
A Little About Your Day; You Will: 
  • Handle all incoming merchandise by receiving, examining, sorting, organizing, and labeling them with appropriate stock and inventory control codes.
  • Send all picked orders to the packing department after verifying all items are free of defects or damage and then move the completed orders to appropriate shipment locations.
  • Operating with a strong attention to detail, you will perform scheduled cycle counts of product for inventory and enter all data manually to ensure all information is updated.
  • To maximize accuracy, you will unpack items to be stocked on shelves and load trucks with packed orders following a set of specific instructions and/or procedures in an organized and specified sequence.
  • Safely operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and/or pallet jacks to move product as needed through the warehouse and on/off of vehicles.
 
What You’ll Need for Success:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving or packaging environment
  • Ability to safely lift and manage up to 50 lbs unassisted and be comfortable being on your feet for most of the workday
  • Ability to work on your feet and perform physical work
  • Experience working with RF Scanners
  • Ability to navigate computer applications and websites
  • Prior experience operating one or more of the following: sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, cherry picker, and/or pallet jack.
