Job description

1.0 Position Summary

This position is responsible for shipping and receiving all parts (including customer orders), raw materials, and other various items for FSNA.

2.0 Primary Functions
  • Follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor while adhering to internal policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment
  • Perform ERP transactions related to shipping and receiving, including material movement for incoming and outgoing goods
  • Coordinate freight pickups and communicate with carriers regarding outbound shipments
  • Prepare outgoing shipments through labeling, banding, and general packaging activities
  • Conduct receiving inspections for visible damage, quantity discrepancies, or incorrect shipments, and report issues as needed
  • Maintain organization and efficient material flow within shipping, receiving, and storage areas
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counting and organization activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and email communication related to shipping and receiving operations
  • Support production schedules by ensuring timely movement and processing of materials
3.0 Additional Duties
  • Provides additional duties as required.
4.0 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Understands and utilizes best practices of inspecting, counting, shipping and receiving goods.
  • Understands common carrier routes and utilizes knowledge to find efficient shipping methods.
  • A general ability to identify various types of customer parts.
  • Appropriate Safety knowledge.
  • Ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to bend, twist, climb, stoop or stand.
  • Ability to spend time sitting at a desk or workstation.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • An essential function for this position, based on business necessity, is that the employee must be physically in attendance at his/her workstation at the designated company office location during the normal business hours
5.0 Working Conditions

This position is an inside position working 100% of the time in a non-climate controlled environment.
