Solar Manufacturing is a leader in providing advanced vacuum heat treating furnaces designed and built to be the most energy efficient, cost effective and highest performing furnaces on the market. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced individual for a Shipping and Receiving Assistant Position (6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday).
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and arrange all outgoing shipments, create detailed packing lists to document the shipment
  • Receive and inspect all incoming material and check the paperwork for accuracy
  • Receive goods into inventory or stage parts purchased for a job. Report damaged goods and prepare returns
  • Assist with picking up and dropping off materials to and from our local suppliers
  • Assist with the pulling of inventory for all jobs. Stage material in the various designated job staging areas
  • Assist in performing a physical inventory count at the end of each calendar year and implement periodic cycle counts throughout the year as directed by manager
  • Return inventory items back into inventory from completed jobs in a timely fashion
  • Maintain and organize the shipping/receiving area in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion for the efficient and safe functioning of the department
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED and applicable years of work-related experience
  • Possess valid driver's license
  • Reliable, organized and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Previous warehouse or shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs. and work around material handling equipment
