Job description

New Ship Construction Program Management Specialist, Mid
The Opportunity:
Provide support to all phases of the program management life cycle for a Navy client program office, as direct support to NAVWAR clients. Specific tasks will include but are not limited to formulating analysis of a program strategy and overall program planning, monitoring task execution, including external contractual performance, and identifying and mitigating program risks. Develop and support the management of all financial and congressional program budget documents, including language and schedule, analyze financial execution reports, and provide output of analysis on regular basis to clients, including spend plans, annualize appropriation phasing plans, or Program Objective Memorandum. Ability to research acquisition policy, interact with multi-functional teams in an IPT environment, and author programmatic and acquisition documentation and presentations in support of program decisions, milestone reviews, and program management reviews. Ability to coordinate with functional SMEs on program documentation to facilitate program requirements. Ability to facilitate meetings and briefings on behalf of the client and organize and execute client meetings as needed. Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems in program management and acquisition support. This position is located onsite in San Diego, CA.
You Have:
  • 10 years of experience with DoW acquisition programs and policies, including managing cost, schedule, and performance of programs under the Defense Acquisition System
  • Experience with Navy Shipbuilding & Conversion or Shipyard programs
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of DoW/SECNAV 5000 instructions
  • Ability to operate in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of experience with program or project management support, or Master's degree and 10+ years of experience with program or project management support

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience in DoW, Navy, or NAVWAR organizations preferred
  • Experience leading DoW, Navy, or NAVWAR acquisition program teams
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
