Job description

Rose Roofing - Northern VirginiaFull-time, W-2 | $22-$28/hour + production bonuses | Bi-weekly pay

Stop roofing for someone else's profit margin.

If you're an experienced roofer, you've probably lived the 1099 life: chasing checks, no benefits, no overtime, gone the minute the work slows down.

Rose Roofing doesn't use subcontractors. Period. Every installer on our crews is a W-2 employee with a steady paycheck, health insurance, PTO, and production bonuses that reward the crews who install the most. We're building the best install teams in Northern Virginia, and we pay like it.

The Money - Real Numbers
  • $22-$28/hour guaranteed base, set by your experience
  • Production bonuses on completed installs - this is how our installers get to $70,000-$83,000/year
  • $1,000 bonus after your first 60 days on the team
  • Overtime available with Team Lead approval, paid at time-and-a-half
  • Reliable bi-weekly pay - no waiting on a GC to cut a check
  • Health insurance + paid time off

How the math works: At $28/hour you're at $58K in base wages before a single bonus. Production bonuses on the roofs your crew completes stack thousands more on top every season - install more, earn more. That's the whole formula: a real hourly wage you can count on, plus production pay that rewards crews who move. No commission games, no draw schemes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Tearing off old roofing systems and keeping the worksite clean
  • Installing complete roofing systems - underlayment, ice & water shield, ventilation, shingles, metal, and flashing - built to be watertight
  • Cutting and fitting materials around chimneys, vents, valleys, and walls
  • Sealing joints, penetrations, and nail heads for a leak-free finish
  • Setting up ladders, staging, and hoisting equipment the right way, every time
  • Working as a crew and keeping your Team Lead in the loop on progress and problems
What We're Looking For
  • Experience installing residential roofing (shingle experience required; metal a plus)
  • Confident with the tools of the trade - nail guns, roofing shovels, tin snips, and everything on your belt
  • Detail-oriented: straight lines, clean flashing, no callbacks
  • Basic math for measuring and material counts
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • OSHA 10 card is a plus - we'll help you get certified if you don't have one
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and put in full days outdoors in Virginia weather
  • Available for occasional weekend work when weather pushes the schedule - rain delays don't move deadlines, and weekend hours are more hours on your check
Why Rose
  • W-2 employment - taxes handled, workers' comp coverage, real employment protections
  • A crew, not a crowd - you report to an Install Team Lead who's on the roof with you, not a dispatcher
  • Growth path - our Team Leads come from our install crews. Show us you're that guy and we'll build you toward it
  • Steady work - we sell year-round so you work year-round
Ready to Work?

Apply now - it takes two minutes. We're moving fast and interviewing this week. If you're a serious roofer who wants serious pay with none of the 1099 headaches, we want to talk to you today.

Rose Roofing is an equal opportunity employer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role. This posting isn't a complete list of duties - responsibilities may change as the work requires.
