Job Title: General Labor - Shift 1

Duration: 3 Months

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104

Shift: 7am start (Sunday/Monday off)

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr.

Job Description

Consistently ensure the proper product cooking procedure is used and keep the appropriate production line supplied to attain quality product. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the companyโ€™s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and understand production schedule and batch sheets; ensure proper inventory levels are present
  • Knowledge and understanding of equipment set up, start up and operating procedures
  • Read and understand cooker panel controls and make appropriate adjustments as needed
  • Read and understand equipment panel controls and make appropriate adjustments as needed
  • Understand quality requirements and specifications for each product group; confer with lab on any product groups outside of the specifications
  • Knowledge of filters and filter changing procedures, including the changing of screens after each batch
  • Calibrate measurement devices such as scale and meters
  • Adjust weights on equipment and maintain weight control sheets
  • Make all manual connections to tanks, lines and vats in a sanitary manner, prior to setting, cooking and creaming the product
  • Communicate work specific information with supervisors, leads, operators, and quality assurance
  • Perform accurate lot tracking of raw materials on batch sheets, monitor material usage and follow all quality formulas and standards to minimize material losses
  • Identify and attach the heating and cooling charts to recording instruments prior to making product
  • Check off Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and verify that everything has been initialed
  • Keep accurate records of each cook by recording and documenting information on cook sheets and charts
  • Supply quality assurance with samples of product for appropriate testing
  • Prepare line for changeovers
  • Complete โ€œIf down doโ€ list for this position when conditions exist
  • Complete safety observations as assigned
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times, performing Clean in Place (CIP) activities on vats, lines, valves,
  • tanks and heaters, and storing all instruments used in setting, cooking and processes
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, as well as working overtime as needed
  • Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
  • Accountable to the Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
