Role

A Shift Coordinator at Chick-fil-A is an emerging leader responsible for leading daily shift operations while creating an exceptional experience for both guests and Team Members. This role focuses on executing operational excellence by running effective shifts, coaching Team Members, resolving guest concerns, and supporting the development of the restaurant through leadership of assigned TAG Teams. Shift Coordinators are trusted to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operation while modeling Chick-fil-A's values and culture. They lead by example, communicate with confidence, and provide real-time coaching to ensure operational standards are consistently met. This role serves as the primary development position for future Team Leads and Assistant Directors by building strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. While Shift Coordinators primarily focus on execution during their shifts, they are expected to collaborate closely with Team Leads and Assistant Directors to support restaurant goals and create a positive work environment.

  • Monitor restaurant operations to ensure speed of service, order accuracy, cleanliness, and food quality standards are achieved.
  • Coordinate communication between Front of House and Back of House to maintain smooth operations.
  • Make real-time operational decisions to protect the guest experience.

Sales and Brand Growth

  • Execute Chick-fil-A brand standards consistently.
  • Support Limited Time Offer (LTO) rollouts and promotional initiatives.

  • Help maximize throughput during peak business periods through strong shift execution.
  • Successfully open, operate, or close the restaurant according to established procedures.
