Job description

Inova Northern Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Radiologic Technologist to support intraoperative imaging in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment. This is a unique opportunity to expand your skillset beyond traditional radiology and become an integral part of the operating room team.
Our center is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility focused on delivering exceptional surgical care with efficiency, safety, and compassion. You'll work alongside experienced surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists in a collaborative setting where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide real-time imaging support during surgical procedures using C-arm and mini C-arm equipment
  • Monitor and uphold radiation safety standards for patients, physicians, and staff
  • Ensure compliance with equipment inspections, dosimeter monitoring, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain proficiency with C-arm, and mini C-arm equipment
  • Inspect and maintain protective equipment including lead aprons and shields
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal imaging and workflow
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and patient care
  • Support overall OR efficiency by assisting with additional perioperative duties as assigned
  • Maintains all records for inspections and radiation monitoring
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Completion of an appropriate radiographic technician program. Certification preferred.
  • Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required.
  • ARRT certification preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with C-arm imaging preferred; OR experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a surgical team
