Job description

Position Purpose:
Processes and maintains all the activities related to the compliance of VA benefits (veteran administration benefits), SEVP (student exchange visitor program), and all state department of education requirements. Completes all certification and compliance documentation for Charis and evaluates the records for accuracy. Attends training, reads all bulletins and notifications, for school SCOs (VA school certifying official) and DSOs (SEVP designated school official), and is up to date and in accordance with the regulations.
Essential Duties:
  • Specializes in the Compliance of the Veterans Education Benefits, CO State Department of Education, and Student Exchange Visitor Program
  • Maintains all compliance records for certifications and audits for VA, SEVP, and the Department of Education
  • Attends all training, webinars, and studies the regulations to maintain SCO and DSO statuses
  • Updates VA and SEVP student records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Collaborates with the Enrollment team to ensure the student experience and communication during the student onboarding is executed with excellence for VA and SEVP students
  • Processes all VA and SEVP student documents and filings in a timely fashion, and provides expertise to the students about their benefits and Visas
  • Support the general operations of the Office of the Registrar, including but not limited to serving student requests over the phone or in person at our service window, processing student/staff request tickets, generating official student documents, updating student records in SIS, CRM, and LMS, supporting major Charis events like student Registration, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Compliance Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Have the ability to interpret, evaluate, and enforce policy and procedural requirements
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team or independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively operate Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite

Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
  • Must pass all required checks

Experience:
  • At least one year of administrative experience and a high level of attention to detail required
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience
