Job description
Elevate Community Services seeks a Shelter Monitor. Our shelter monitor will provide direct supervision of clients ensuring safety of all residents, model appropriate behavior, and compliance to program rules. Daily routine care and supervision will fall mainly on the Monitor. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Pass out client meals and supplies.
  • Prepare coffee for clients.
  • Engage with clients to create a welcoming environment.
  • Monitor grounds on an hourly basis for safety concerns.
  • Conduct bag checks for all clients entering the facility in a safe manner and in accordance with ECS bag check policy.
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist with de-escalation of situations while prioritizing staff and client safety.
  • Coordinate with Security Contractor for services on an as needed basis.
  • Complete support documentation and daily shift reports
  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of Elevate Community Services
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.
