Job Summary: As a Shelf Edge Manager, you'll lead all initiatives for Store-wide shelf management, price image, and rotation. You'll be responsible for general Shelf Edge department general functions, while the scope and complexity of work may increase depending on your level of classification.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Management / Sales:

  • Spends the majority of time using independent judgment to make employment-related decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions to hire, promote, transfer, discipline, suspend, discharge, or reward, or otherwise engaging in resolving partner-related matters
  • Collaborates with all departments and all levels of Partners, management, and Store Leadership
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on total-Store Shelf Edge processes
  • Leads / assists department Partners with their duties; coaches, trains, and evaluates as needed
  • Holds Partners accountable for following SOPs
  • Monitors / manages department budget and payroll
  • Maintains inventory and organization of Shelf Edge supplies and tools, including toner, tags, coupon paper, etc.
  • Collaborates / interacts with vendors and suppliers on all related activities
  • Manages accountability of Shelf Edge processes for total Store, in collaboration with Department Managers and Store Leaders
  • Coordinates / leads Store-executed shelf edge activities to include product, shelf, and merchandising changes as dictated by plan-o-grams, and prep and post-work to include submitting required forms
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for product shelf assignment (PSA)
  • Manages / ensures accountability for PSA on plan-o-gram items during budgeted and scheduled activities
  • Manages / maintains compliance of plan-o-gram integrity; collaborates with appropriate Partners to execute scheduled activities
  • Maintains all updates to plan-o-grams, including individual Store-requested items based on designated approval process
  • Maintains location labels Store-wide
  • Maintains / manages compliance of floorplan and fixture integrity; collaborates with appropriate Partners on special requests
  • Executes discontinued product process per SOP
  • Ensures products are assigned to shelves (PSA) on displays as outlined by SOP
  • Ensures execution and accuracy of assigned marketing activities as outlined through tasks or communication
  • Manages all hanging, pulling, printing and replenishing coupons to support ad change process and activities
  • Ensures timely execution of daily received tags per SOP
  • Ensures maintenance and application functionality for department scales is performed daily throughout entire store
  • Performs audits to ensure ad accuracy, on a weekly basis
  • Assists in assessing accuracy of signs and pricing throughout the store, on a weekly basis

Sanitation / Safety:

  • Ensures compliance with all company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, refrigeration, and sanitation
  • Replaces / orders Shelf Edge fixtures for total Store to maintain appearance and safety of Partners and customers
  • Performs audits for product date rotation per process SOP

Customer Service:

  • Provides / coaches on superior customer service that's focused on hospitality
  • Answers customer questions regarding products; helps customers locate merchandise
