Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Sheet Metal Fabricators will apply their sheet metal skills and knowledge to fabricate for residential and commercial HVAC job applications

Essential Functions:

  • Forming, cutting, and bending metal to create fabricated units accurately.
    • Welding and insulating assemblies in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Performing additional production and warehouse duties as needed in the production process.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication, and general shop processes.
    • Ability to perform basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Experience with sheet metal shearing is a plus.
    • Familiarity with press brakes is a plus.
    • Forklift experience is a plus.
    • Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates in a typical warehouse environment, offering a pleasant and safe working atmosphere. However, it may involve occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.

Physical Effort:

  • The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods and perform bending and kneeling on a daily basis.

Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week.
