This role will work with the Chief Data & Analytics Office leaders to create and manage programs to define, deploy and sustain Data Products to be provided by SHC's Enterprise Data Platform.
A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager of Data Products will report to the Chief Data & Analytics leadership team to work cross-functionally with teams across the health system and the university to identify, build, launch and support products and services supported by the Enterprise Data Platform. This role will focus on building Stanford Health Care's (SHC) solutions that effectively utilize data assets, advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other techniques to improve patient care, medical research, and administrative services.

What you will do

  • Develop and manage a roadmap of data products and services, including defining vision, goals, and objectives.
  • Partner with Directors, Managers and Executives across Stanford Healthcare to assess and deliver data enabled solutions across SHC
  • Manage the lifecycle of data products and services, including coordinating support efforts across SHC and technology teams.
  • Monitor the performance of products and services and provide ongoing analysis and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Elucidate workflows and gather requirements for incorporating data solutions into proposed projects and assessments.
  • Define systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing deliverables and funding.
  • Work closely with end users and distributed support teams to timely resolve user issues and concerns.
  • Communicate Enterprise standard approaches and methods to groups across SHC and the university.
  • Develop project schedules and work plans using standard project management tools and methods.
  • Contribute to financial budgeting of the Enterprise Information Management group.
  • Maintain landscape awareness of competitive and aspirational health systems, researchers, and/or industry while defining and actioning Stanford's differentiation.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and identify opportunities to incorporate these into the health system's data strategy.
  • Communicate product vision, goals, and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clinicians, IT professionals, and partners.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as analytics, data science, computer science, or healthcare management.


Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, product management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Data Product management methods and processes.
  • Strong understanding of information management methods and technologies, including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, machine learning, natural language processing, and data visualization.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving the development and implementation of data-driven products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to a team of engineers
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Experience vetting and implementing product partnerships
