SUMMARY: Reporting to the VP of Data-Applications and a member of the core app dev Team, the application development software engineer will design, code, test and update programs/applications along with supporting ongoing operations of all corporate technology applications supporting MetroNational's primary corporate departments which include Finance, HR, Asset Management, Client Experience, Leasing, Legal and Construction/Design. The developer will participate in maintenance and enhancement of all applications (custom/SaaS/COTS) in the corporate platforms. The s/w developer will have primary responsibility for implementing our new Content Services Platform which will provide seamless workflow automation and contemporary document management capabilities across the company.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Workflow Platform - Write code, test automation and support our new workflow Platform which provides workflow automation, contemporary document management and robotics process automation.
  • Core Enterprise Technology Platform Development & Support - Implement, enhance, and maintain all corporate applications and associated integrations and/or customizations. Key business area technology applications supported include Finance, HR, Asset Management, Client Experience, Leasing, and Construction/Design.
  • Data & Digital Integrations - partner with Data & Digital Services team to support any upstream/downstream core application integrations required with our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
  • Application Programming Interfaces (API) and Tech Shared Services Library - Build API services that can be reused using Python or JavaScript.
  • Leverage tools/technologies to build and support AI/ML based prediction initiatives by various stakeholders.
  • Write SQL code and maintain RDBMS databases and other artifacts associated with applications during production support.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is required, advance degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in web-based application development using NodeJS, ReactJS, Camunda (BPMN engine), Python & UiPath in midsize complex organizations.
  • Experience in using RDBMS (SQL server/Oracle) on Azure/AWS.
  • Experience in building applications using managing Azure functions, Azure App Service and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Experience in writing SQL queries and maintaining various application databases.
  • Experience working with content services provider platforms delivering workflow automation, document management and robotics processing automation capabilities.
  • Hands on experience developing software solutions with detailed understanding of all contemporary programming languages and operating platforms including the following areas: Python, HTML-5, Azure, AWS, Microsoft Stack (BI, Automate, O365, Teams, SharePoint, ...), Wintel, Mac OS, IOS/Android Mobile Apps
  • Experience in Real Estate and Property Management industry a plus
