Job description

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy web and mobile applications using the OutSystems platform.
  • Create scalable, maintainable, and reusable application components that align with architectural standards.
  • Translate business requirements and functional specifications into technical solutions.
  • Enhance and maintain existing applications while ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

Integration & Data Management

  • Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs.
  • Work with SQL databases and data models to support application functionality and reporting needs.
  • Integrate applications with Microsoft technologies, SharePoint, Azure services, and third-party platforms as required.

Quality & Support

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
  • Monitor application performance and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support materials.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

  • Partner with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business objectives.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure solutions comply with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow established development, release, and governance processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3–5 years of software development experience, including hands-on experience building and deploying applications with OutSystems.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • OutSystems Service Studio
    • Integration Studio
    • Application lifecycle management
    • Web application architecture
  • Experience working with:
    • REST APIs and API Connectors
    • SQL and relational databases
    • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OutSystems Developer Certification.
  • Experience within the Insurance, Risk Management, Brokerage, or Financial Services industries.
  • Experience with Azure services and cloud-based application development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments.
  • Experience developing customer-facing portals or workflow-driven business applications.
