Position Summary... What you'll do...
We are building Walmart's next-generation Digital Accountant platform. Our mission is to transform accounting operations through AI, automation, and intelligent workflows that help finance teams close the books faster, reduce risk, and eliminate manual work. The platform offers multiple capabilities and conversational experiences into a unified accounting operating system.  
We solidify our engineering offerings by providing  enterprise-grade guardrails, compliance, observability, approval workflows, auditability, and multi-tenant execution at scale.  
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling core platform capabilities across modules of Digital Accountant.  What You'll Do 
  • Architect and build highly scalable multi-tenant platform services powering automation lifecycle management, execution orchestration, governance, and observability.  
  • Develop rich user experiences for accountants, controllers, and operations teams.  
  • Lead design and implementation of workflow engines, approval processes, role-based access control, audit trails, and compliance features required for SOX and enterprise governance.  
  • Build integrations with SAP, BlackLine, SharePoint, GCS, BigQuery, enterprise APIs, and internal platforms.  
  • Drive platform reliability, developer experience, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering excellence.  
  • Partner with product, UX, finance SMEs, and platform teams to translate complex accounting workflows into intuitive digital experiences.  
  • Mentor engineers, influence architecture decisions, establish technical standards, and lead critical platform initiatives across multiple teams.
