Job description

Content Manager, SEO (Remote)
This is a remote position.
Growth Marketing Pro, a SEO, GEO, paid marketing, and Reddit marketing agency, is looking to hire a full-time Content Manager. We're looking for a strong content strategist who can combine brand storytelling with organic performance to build authority across the web and appear in LLM answers. If you love experimenting with content, SEO, offsite SEO, and GEO strategies, excel at project and time management, and enjoy collaborating with a remote team, this role could be for you.
Growth Marketing Pro started as a leading marketing blog and has since evolved into a marketing agency trusted by top companies such as Adobe, Quicken, HiBob, and Minted to deliver real results. We're growing quickly and are looking to bring on an ambitious, detail-oriented, full-time person to help take our agency and content team to the next level. This is an opportunity to help build an early-stage startup into an industry-leading growth marketing company.
What you'll do:
The Content Manager will work alongside internal teams to execute SEO, GEO, and content initiatives across a range of clients. This role will encompass everything from content development, outlining, editing, and publishing content to conducting real-time keyword research, writing metadata, supporting offsite SEO efforts including link building and guest post placements, and other ad hoc content or SEO projects. Strong attention to detail, communication, time management, a sense of urgency, and flawless prioritization are must-haves.
You'll be accountable for:
  • Executing against client strategies across SEO, offsite, and GEO
  • Ensuring all content is high-quality and adheres to brand voice, tone, and style guidelines
  • Participating in client onboarding, calls, and relationship-building
  • Proactively communicating updates to clients and internal teams
  • Implementing client feedback and continuously learning
  • Staying up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO/GEO
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong grasp of storytelling and attention to detail
  • Understanding of content and SEO best practices and ability to create optimized outlines, high-quality content, and metadata
  • Ability to write in different tones and styles to match a specific brand voice and target audience
  • Direct experience with keyword research, internal linking, and developing content briefs
  • Experience with offsite SEO tactics such as link building, digital PR/outreach, and guest post or content syndication placements
  • Creator content experience (briefing, sourcing, or collaborating with social creators on branded or client content campaigns)
  • Practical familiarity with AEO/GEO and AI-search measurement
  • Experience managing freelance writers, vendors, and dev partners
  • Fluency with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush, and CRM platforms like HubSpot
  • Knowledge of AI tools and ability to improve and automate your workflows using AI platforms/automation tools
  • Detail-oriented with organizational, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently (proactively) and as part of a team
  • General understanding of the digital marketing landscape across organic, email, and paid media channels
  • Nice to have: Background in-house at SaaS or technology companies; Reddit growth experience, organic social experience

Benefits
  • Compensation: $85,000 - $125,000 per year
  • We're fully remote. We believe great work happens when people have the freedom to work in the way that works best for them. We trust our team to set their own schedules, do their best work, and get the job done without micromanagement.
  • Unlimited PTO + US holidays. Work-life balance is one of GMP's core values, and we genuinely live by it. Take the time you need to recharge and enjoy life outside of work.
  • Great healthcare benefits. Choose from a variety of medical plans with dependent coverage, plus dental and vision benefits.
  • Performance-based compensation. Your impact matters, and there are opportunities to grow your compensation as you grow and perform.
  • Room to grow. Work alongside talented growth marketers, sharpen your skills, learn from experts, and build your career in the areas that excite you most.
  • Make a real impact. Join a fast-growing startup where your work isn't just another task on a list-you'll have a meaningful opportunity to shape the direction and success of the business.
