Department: SCM

Immediate Supervisor: SCM Manager

Nearest subordinate: Shared Service Staff

With minimal supervision, purchase items, materials or services of a technical nature customized to company specification and delivery requirements. Expedite work, vendors, and may locate/promote new vendor sources.

[Job Description]

- Purchase and expedite for timely delivery of material parts and services as required.

- Vendor selection may include visiting vendor facilities.

- Confer with other departments as needed for technical assistance in resolving purchasing issues.

- Evaluate invoice charges as required.

- Coordinate purchasing related activities involving routing, shipping and receiving of parts and materials.

- Maintain appropriate records including encumbrance and company owned tooling stored or used by vendors.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills Desired

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent education is required.

- Proficient/Advanced skills with MS Excel and ERP (SAP)

- 1+ years' experience as a buyer for a manufacturing company.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

- Understanding SOX requirements and internal controls

- Strong attention to detail

- Consistently able to meet reporting deadlines

- Ability to problem solve and work independently

- Strict work ethic

- Strong leadership skills

- Language skill is most preferred, communicating with customers

- Must be authorized to start working in U.S.
