In accordance with professional standards of care and adhering to corporate philosophy of OSFMG, the advanced practice nurse/physician assistant shall be responsible for:

  • Providing high quality patient care to the patients of OSF.
  • Providing such professional Advanced Practice services.
  • Maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided to the Practice and its patients.
  • Maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Provider or other support staff.
  • Exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the Practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients.
  • Providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital aligned to the patient's preferences, goals and needs.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: According to professional standards of care, the PA Fellow Cardiology performs a variety of advanced nursing / physician assistant functions. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Masters degree in physician assistant studies (MPAS) Licensure/ Certification: Physician Assistant Certification. IL Physician Assistant License. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
