  • Works under general supervision of the Charge Nurse, provides assistance to elders, maintains elder's safety, responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies to ensure elder safety.
  • Observes and reports changes in condition to the charge nurse, documents care given electronically in Point of Care.
  • Assists elders as needed with grooming, bathing, toileting and meeting any care needs as assigned.
  • Serves meals and snacks.
  • Has CNA certification or willing to obtain.
  • Participates on and effectively communicates with a Self-Managed Work Team to effectively perform the overall day-to-day duties required to operate the house. This includes laundry, light housekeeping in addition to providing personal care
  • Prepares and serves meals and nutritional snacks per elder preferences and as approved by the Registered Dietician (e.g., follows recipes; measures ingredients; operates ovens, stove, microwave, crockpot, grill, toasters, etc.; uses bowls, pans, knives, etc.); and provides fresh water and coffee; sets table for meals; serves/assists elders with meals and snacks.
