Description

The Opportunity:

The Senior Manager of Operations & Programming leads strategy and implementation for SpringGR’s (SGR) learning programs, including the business accelerators, works collaboratively with the Director and Senior Business Development Manager to lead ongoing support for alumni and utilizes data to improve outcomes for entrepreneurs. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for developing an annual budget in collaboration with the Director, overseeing SGR operations, and ensuring the organization has effective processes and procedures while maintaining the ability to be flexible, collaborative, and service oriented.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead SGR’s learning programs through the development of learning goals, curriculum selection and adaptation, and implementation. Create a culture of continuous improvement and outcome measurement for these programs.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate contracted facilitators and business coaches, nurturing a team mindset and focusing on a culture of service, growth, innovation, and excellence. Ensure effective learning. environments for adult learners, identify and remove barriers to learning, and set high standards for content delivery.
  • Connect program learning goals and objectives to the outcomes desired by SGR and ensure data is collected and measured to reach the stated goals. Ensure entrepreneurs are progressing toward these goals.
  • Partners with Senior Business Development Manager on setting and measuring goals and outcomes of Kzoo Station.
  • Collaborate in the creation of communication and marketing plans for SGR programs (with RDV Philanthropy Communications Director).
  • Collaborate with the Senior Business Development Manager to ensure the participant transition from the business accelerator to alumni programming and resources is effective and maximized for the entrepreneur.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Salesforce customer relations and data management software, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and reporting while nurturing a data-oriented mindset across the organization. This position will also supervise the Program and Data Administrator.
  • Ensure that SGR has effective processes and procedures while maintaining the ability to be flexible, gracious, and service-oriented.
  • Work with RDV Accounting to track spending, make recommendations for budget adjustments, and draft the annual budget for Director review and input. Oversee contract preparation and vendor payments.
  • Oversee program calendars and events to ensure optimal use of human and space resources.
  • Oversee performance development and management for direct reports, including the Program Coordinator and Program and Data Administrator.
  • Work closely with Program Coordinator and Data and Program Administrator to ensure successful implementation of programs (including learning experience, logistics, etc.).
  • Performs additional duties and/or special projects aligned with organizational priorities.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience leading people and teams with an entrepreneurial mindset in culturally diverse settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, finance, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • Coaching certification preferred; relevant experience may include business or entrepreneur coaching, training and development coaching, life coaching, or similar growth-focused fields.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, takes initiative, adapts quickly, and moves work forward in a growing environment.
  • Five or more years of experience working with small business owners preferred.
  • Experience identifying and solving issues faced by small business owners.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at various levels and from culturally diverse backgrounds, demonstrating tact and discretion when receiving and sharing information.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop and implement plans.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and contribute beyond formal job responsibilities.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use data and reporting to inform decisions and evaluate results.
