Every roof we sell protects a family. That's the job, whether you're standing in someone's living room walking them through storm damage or helping them plan the siding upgrade they've wanted for years. Homeowners invite you into their home because they trust you to get it right, and Sexton has built its name in this valley since 1985 on doing exactly that.
We generate the leads. You walk in already trusted, already expected, with a real conversation ahead of you instead of a cold door. Your job is to listen, diagnose the actual need, and present a solution the homeowner feels good about saying yes to. From first walkthrough to signed contract, the sale is yours to own.
This role is for someone who wants their paycheck to reflect their effort, not their seniority. Base salary plus uncapped commission means there's no ceiling on what you can earn here, and no limit on how far you can grow with us.

What You'll Do

  • Run in-home sales appointments for roofing, siding, and window projects, diagnosing the homeowner's needs and building a solution around them.
  • Build and present clear proposals with scope, pricing, and timeline, so homeowners know exactly what they're buying.
  • Close contracts that are profitable for Sexton and fair for the homeowner.
  • Supplement company-generated leads with your own referrals and networking.
  • Hand off closed projects to production cleanly, with accurate scope and homeowner expectations documented.
  • Keep your product knowledge current through ongoing training on materials, systems, and sales technique.
  • Work with your manager on a growth plan tied to your income goals and career trajectory.

What We're Looking For

Experience
  • Proven track record in sales. Roofing, siding, solar, or another home improvement trade is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Comfortable presenting price and closing in person, not just generating interest.
  • Working knowledge of roofing and siding terminology, materials, and basic construction processes, or the ability to learn it fast.

Competencies
  • Direct communicator. You can explain a technical scope to a homeowner in plain language.
  • Motivated by uncapped upside. You track your own numbers and push to beat them.
  • Reliable under a flexible schedule. Appointments happen when homeowners are home.
  • Coachable. You want feedback and you act on it.

Job Requirements
  • Available evenings and Saturdays as needed, based on homeowner availability.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable with a performance-based compensation structure (base + commission).
  • Willing to supplement company-provided leads with your own outreach, including referrals, networking, and door-to-door canvassing where useful.

Compensation & Benefits
  • W-2 Employee Status.
  • Base salary plus uncapped commission, with additional bonus opportunities.
  • Company generated & pre-qualified appointments provided.
  • Additional incentives for self-generated leads.
  • Company truck.
  • Flexible schedule built around homeowner appointments.
  • Paid training on our sales process, products, and systems.
  • Leadership training and a clear path to advancement.
