Job description

We are actively hiring for the position of Sewing Machine Operator I, for our plant in Salt Lake City, UT.

Available Shift

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay Range

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on skills, experience, and qualifications)

What You’ll Do

  • Produce finished graphics and fabricated products.
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or finish materials and fabric articles.
  • Examine and measure finished products to ensure quality and conformance to standards.
  • Cut materials and trim excess material or thread using scissors, blades, or electric cutting tools.
  • Fold and prepare materials such as fabric or vinyl for sewing and production.
  • Mount machine attachments and adjust machine settings according to specifications.
  • Monitor sewing machine operation and identify issues such as defective stitching, thread breaks, or machine malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues as they arise.
  • Assist with other fabrication duties as assigned.
  • Use basic computer skills to support production tasks.
  • Work safely while lifting materials and products up to 50 lbs.

Physical Requirements

The Sewing Technician position will have the following physical requirements:

  • Standing/Walking for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Bending/Twisting/Squatting regularly throughout the shift.
  • Lifting/Pushing/Pulling materials up to 75 lbs consistently.
