The sewing mechanic is responsible for maintaining the optimal functionality and ensuring periodic maintenance of our production machinery, including sewing machines, computerized and automated machines,computerizedandautomatedcuttingequipment,computerizedandautomatedquiltingmachines, and tape edge sewing machines.

  • Setupandconfigureeachmachinesothatitisoptimizedformattress manufacturing.

Adjustmachineryasneededtosupportqualityand production.

Order,buildandinstallsewingequipmenttoallowoperatortoperformdaily tasks.

Maintainsparepartsinventoryforallsewing equipment.

Testanddocumentoperationofallsewingequipmentandkeeparepair log.

Leadsafetyfirstcultureandhelpimplementandensuresafetyproceduresareusedthroughoutthe facility.

Requirements

Knowledgeofbasicelectricalandmechanical systems

Knowledgeofsurging,straightstitch,multineedle,bartacking,automatedsewingmachinesand computerized cutting and sewing.

  • Ability to travel to our Woodstock, CT facility, if necessary
