Job description

BILLING SETUP SPECIALIST
Department: NEW ACCOUNT SETUP
Location: Hybrid (In office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Wage: $19.40 + Tier Performance bonus.
New Account Setup Specialists are responsible for providing a high-quality onboarding experience for our clients. They are the primary Conservice contact during setup. They also communicate with the Account Manager, multiple NAS teams, and other departments to compile/verify data. Their main data analysis and input tasks center around the following: Utilities, methods, fees, property lease, utility bills, and state regulations. The Setup Specialist is responsible for providing an accurate and timely setup product in order for resident bills to mail on time.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a new portfolio of setups each month
  • Initiate contact with the client to request setup info and send follow ups every 48 hours
  • Resolve or escalate any client issues and be their main point of contact during setup
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient communication and avoid billing delays
  • Track setup progress in Launch and report any delays or issues to leadership
  • Participate in internal/external calls for specific properties/mgmt firms
  • Compare Conservice agreement to the resident lease and prior billing (if applicable)
  • Review utility provider invoices and confirm billable expenses
  • Perform a surface-level review of other internal inputs (units, tenants, reads, prior billing, etc)
  • Ensure contracted utilities, methods, and fees are in compliance with state regulations
  • Identify/Implement workarounds in place of pending information
  • Complete additional data entry tasks to allow for resident billing
  • Perform final quality check to ensure overall setup cohesion and accuracy
  • Continue communication with the Billing team to quickly identify/resolve setup issues
