Job Summary
Support the Director of Nutrition Services in running our school district's meal programs, stepping in as department lead when needed. You'll supervise site staff, oversee menu planning and food safety compliance, monitor budgets and costs, and help ensure USDA program requirements are met across all schools-pitching in on the kitchen line when coverage is short.
We're seeking a candidate with a bachelor's degree (nutrition, food service management, or related field), 3-5 years of relevant experience, and a ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain one within six months). Supervisory experience and a public education background are a plus. Valid California driver's license required.
Expect a mix of office and kitchen/cafeteria work, regular travel between sites, and occasional evenings or weekends for special events.
