As an Operations Support Specialist for Univar Solutions ONSITE SERVICES (OSS) business, you will be involved in the following activities: 

 

Deliverables:

 

Site lead for new customer contract implementations and provide back-fill for certain OSS Site Manager turnover, vacations, sick leave, etc.

Perform as site team Safety support and the corporate safety liaison ensuring safety compliance of employees and the required processes are adhered to at all times

Certified and skilled in RCRA & DOT regulations & adherence to the regs.

Prepare Bill of Lading, Waste Manifests and scheduling the transport & disposal of customer waste & recycling materials

Support the identification, management, and coordination opportunities for process improvement to drive improved program efficiency, enhancements and profitability

Perform as site team Human Resources (HR) lead and the corporate HR liaison ensuring compliance to the required policies are adhered to at all times

Collaborating with organizational leaders and front-line teams to design and implement processes that utilize staff effectively, enhance service and continuously improve the work environment

Working to understand customers waste management equipment needs and assist in the equipment business case proposal preparation to prospective and existing clients

Performs other related duties as customer requires or OSS management requests.

Skills

 

Must have the ability to learn and utilize RCRA (Resource Conservation & Recovery Act of 1976), DOT & EPA regulations as they affect the storage, packing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste

Utilize and develop skills and/or obtain endorsements or certifications (i.e. RCRA/DOT) that align with scope of work.

Must work well in a team environment with ability to build effective relationships.

Be a self-starter with ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with suppliers/vendors and customers.

Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access are required.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States

1-2 years of related industry experience is desired

Education

 

Bachelor's degree required in Environmental Science/Engineering/Business or relevant technical field

Pass company physical and drug screen tests.

Participate in company medical surveillance program.

Be flexible. Travel requirement may peak at 90%.
