Job description

Position Overview
NewCold is seeking a Operations Manager to support warehouse to effectively manage the warehouse
team on site and provide a level of service in line with customer requirements, at a level of cost agreed
in the budget. To create and develop a professional culture on site, in line with our values and ensure
that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on site.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure a NewCold culture is apparent on the site resulting in employee engagement.
Implement a cost-conscious culture in line with budgeted expectations, focused on achieving
high levels of customer service.
Manage the team in line with company policy and ensure agreed health and safety standards
are met.
Work with customers on improvement initiatives to reduce costs and/or improve service.
Monitor and react to KPI results and working with the Site Manager to identify and share
improvement ideas, ensuring contractual customer KPI's are met for service and quality.
Creating a culture of a team focused on health, safety and quality in all aspects of warehouse
activity.
Complete local KPI reports and share information internally, engaging the local team to search
for improvement opportunities.
Closely monitor and control all expenditure, but with a real focus on payroll costs. React quickly
to adverse variances.
Communicate structure on site to include daily team briefs and shift handover.
Share regular meeting agendas with shifts and local management team.
Conduct frequent checks on cleanliness and housekeeping to ensure compliance.
Communicate with relevant parties any deviation from process, quality issues, and service
issues, or risk of failure in these areas.
Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required by Site Manager.
Assist the operation as required by the site, including:
o Support Business Development initiatives as and when required.
o Share best practice and standards with colleagues in other NewCold sites and join
collaborative projects.
o Continually look to opportunities for improvement.
