\n An independent service provider for FedEx in Augusta Ga, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day\-to\-day transportation and logistics operations within a fdasrt\-paced, safety driven environment. This is a critical role in the team reporting directly to the president of the company.  You will be responsible for mentoring and leading the Business Contact (BC) and team of drivers to success. Serving as the primary contact on\-site representing the organization in meetings and working with FedEx terminal leadership.

\n The Operations Manager ensures all routes are fully staffed and executed daily, leads frontline driver teams, maintains compliance with DOT and FEDEx Ground standards, and proactively addresses operational challenges alongside the Business Contact (BC).

\n We are looking for a visible, hands\-on leader who thrives in time\-sensitive, high\-volume operations especially during the peak season.

\n Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

\n Will attend all onsite meetings while keeping the President of the company abreast of all changes and initiatives
\n <\/div>\n
\n Will work with the BC to organize and schedule all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Will work with the BC to Monitor driver and labor time and attendance, while minimizing overtime and ensuring that drivers do not exceed limits               established by regulatory agencies (e.g., 60\-hour rule).
\n <\/div>\n
\n Responsible for DRO implementation each night to ensure adequate resourcing for the following day.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Monitor all KPI's including on\-time service, safety incidents, productivity and customer satisfaction.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Will manage and mentor BC to ensure they gain the tools they need to successfully perform at the highest level.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Sets and monitors productivity, service, and safety targets for each route and driver.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Acquire and coordinates temporary workers assigned to assist drivers on routes.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Provides documentation related to route operations daily (driver time and attendance, open tickets), following up where appropriate.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Conduct root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, ensuring consistent discipline and refraining.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Work with BC to ensure all divers are properly trained to perform at the maximum level of efficiency.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Works with Human Resources to ensure all employees who are not meeting their goals are placed on performance plans.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Ensures that all associates are mindful of their attendance and the importance of showing up daily to ensure there is coverage for all deliveries.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Ensures that all trucks meet the standards of FedEx and DOT registrations by ensuring all pre\-check and post\-checks are done on company vehicles.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Schedule all maintenance and service calls for company vehicles and delivered to the shop when needed.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Daily and weekly touchpoints with the President of the organization to discuss daily and weekly service levels, opportunities and successes.
\n <\/div>\n
\n Prepare operational reports and assist with budgeting and cost control efforts
\n <\/div>\n
\n Serves as a visible, hands\-on leader during peak season

Requirements<\/h3>\n
\n <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Must have a high school diploma or GED
\n <\/div>\n
\n 3+ years of Operations, Logistics or Transportation Management experience
\n <\/div>\n
\n FedEx Ground\/Contractor\/P&D management experience strongly preferred
\n <\/div>\n
\n Demonstrated leadership of high\-volume teams and safety\-driven cultures
\n <\/div>\n
\n Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet operations
\n <\/div>\n
\n Proficiency in Excel and operational technology tools
\n <\/div>\n
\n Excellent communication, organization and problem\-solving skills
\n <\/div>\n
\n Ability to stay calm and decisive in time\-sensitive situations

\n Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and peak\-season schedules
