Job description

Welder - NSI
 

Exentec is looking for capable stainless TIG welders that want to work in a clean, usually quiet shop.  We work 4-day work weeks. The welding usually consists of welding of 316 stainless tubes that range from ¼" to 10” in diameter, manually and with the aid of welding positioners. We also have several weld lathes (orbital) that help with larger jobs. 

  • Must have previous experience TIG welding stainless steel (preferably in tech, sanitary, wine) 

  • Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations. 

  • Ability to measure and fit parts to tolerances of less than 0.010" with height gauges, calipers and related equipment 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Ensure work is done safely and meets internal and customer quality standards. 

  • Effective communication, both verbal and written 

  • Precision welding of stainless steel and must have good control of heat 

  • Manual dexterity is required 

  • Knowledge of back-purging with argon 

  • Create and set up welding fixturing for serial production run 

  • Able to work overtime as needed 

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision 

Education: 

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred) 
  • Experience (preferred): 

  • TIG Welding: 1 year  

  • College welding courses 

  • Trade school for welding
